Welcome to Our Practice

When you arrive for your first appointment, you will be greeted by one of our friendly reception staff and asked to provide some information about your medical and dental health. Then you’ll be welcomed into the treatment room by our dentist, Dr Ailin Teo.

At Your First Check-Up Appointment

Dr Teo will conduct an oral examination of the following areas:

  • Soft tissues of the mouth (oral cancer screening)
  • Teeth
  • Gums
  • Radiographs (x-rays) may be taken, if required
  • Additional tests and examinations, if required

See Your Teeth Up Close…

Dr Teo may use an intra-oral camera to show you what she sees as she examines your mouth, teeth and gums. This is an effective means to help patients understand what is going on in their mouths.

If dental x-rays are necessary, you’ll be pleased to know that we use digital radiography. This minimises the amount of radiation needed and the results are projected onto a screen so you can see them.

Dr Teo may also use the diagnocam. This is radiation-free technology used to detect early cavities between the teeth. Once again, you’ll be able to watch on screen as she examines each tooth.

Prevention Is Our Focus

Dr Teo has a strong preventative philosophy and will work with you in an effort to prevent dental disease.

Planning Your Treatment

Following a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and soft tissues, Dr Teo will discuss the treatment options available to address any identified dental problems.

Please feel free to raise any concerns or questions which you may have about your dental health or treatment. Your questions are most welcome.
