What Is QIP Accreditation?
Accreditation is an independent recognition that an organisation meets the requirements of governing industry standards.
We have chosen to follow the Private Dental Practice Accreditation Program. The Australian Dental Association established the program with Quality Innovation Performance Limited (QIP). QIP is a not-for-profit accreditation, certification and verification agency for health practices.
In the words of the agency,
QIP accreditation supports organisations to reassure their patients, consumers and clients that their team is committed to providing safe and quality service provision.
Why Is It Important to Choose an Accredited Practice?
When you see the QIP Accreditation logo, it is a sign that the practice displaying it is committed to:
- Providing you with high-quality services and support in a safe environment
- Strengthening engagement with you, the consumer, and the organisation’s community
- Embracing diversity—being respectful and understanding of differences, and
- Constantly improving to create positive outcomes. For Australian dental practices, accreditation is voluntary. It is a comprehensive process that requires a commitment to meet all the requirements.
